Gender Service, Royal Childrens Hospital Melbourne

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Gender Service aims to improve the physical and mental health outcomes of children and adolescents who are trans or gender diverse. Families who access the RCH Gender Service with their child or adolescent will be provided with a family centred approach to care. This will entail a multidisciplinary assessment of their child or adolescent regarding gender diversity or gender dysphoria. As an outcome of the assessment, support and treatment pathways will be offered. The RCH Gender Service is a Victorian statewide service.

AusPATH is the national peak body representing, supporting, and connecting those working to strengthen the health, rights and wellbeing of all trans people – binary and non-binary. AusPATH provides up to date information on clinical, research and educational developments, advocacy opportunities and community events, as well as opportunities for professionals working in trans health across Australia to meet and network,
TransHub
TransHub aims to provide clear and easy information about gender affirmation and health for trans and gender diverse people. Whilst developed by ACON for trans and gender diverse people in NSW, their website contains a lot of very useful introductory information relevant to people all over Australia and beyond.
Supports for young people and their families
Minus18
Minus18 is Australia's charity improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ young people. Minus18 run affirming events, including Queer Formals, and provide resources, training and merchandise.
Parents of Gender Diverse Children
Parents of Gender Diverse Children offer unique support to parents of a transgender or gender diverse child. Assistance may come in the form of small groups, support for parents only, or support for the child or sibling, among other things.
Transfamily

Transfamily is a peer support group for parents, siblings, children, extended family, partners, and friends of trans and gender diverse people. They offer a warm and understanding environment for friends and family of trans and gender diverse people to share experiences, ask questions, seek advice and support.

QSpace

QSpace is a LGBTIQA+ family counseling service for regional and rural areas, providing face-to-face and onling counselling. The QSpace network includes Anglicare VIctoria (Gippsland and Kyneton), Upper Murray Family Care (Wdonga) and Drummond Street Services (Geelong, in addition to Melbourne).
headspace
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support. headspace centres are located in metropolitan, regional and rural areas.
